In August 2005, a 7-year-old boy and his family headed to a Westchester County owned amusement park when his life was tragically cut short. The 7-year-old boy boarded an indoor boat ride, Ye Old Mill. Shortly after the ride started, he was found dead in the ride’s channel from a blunt head injury. Officials conceded that the ride was understaffed.

Westchester County has agreed to set up a scholarship in the boy’s name and has agreed to a 1.25 Million settlement with his parents.
