A collision at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Cavanaugh in Lansing, Michigan, claimed the lives of a 46-year-old mother and her 17-year-old son last night. The driver of the vehicle traveling eastbound down Cavanaugh struck the vehicle driven by the 46-year-old mother who was traveling southbound on Pennsylvania.

Following the collision, the driver attempted to flee the scene of the accident on foot, but a K-9 unit was able to track the driver down.
