Car Accident Hospitalizes Two In Lansing, Michigan

At around 1:50 a.m. Saturday morning an SUV and a Dodge Intrepid collided at the intersection of East Saginaw Street and North Howard Street in Lansing, Michigan. The 19-year old driver of the Intrepid and his passenger were pinned inside the vehicle after it struck a guardrail, requiring the Lansing Township Fire Department paramedics to extricate them out of the vehicle.

The driver of the Intrepid was admitted to a local hospital for serious injuries, the passenger was treated at the hospital and released, and the driver of the SUV was treated at the scene. Excessive speed and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors to the accident.

The driver that went to the hospital, his name was Paul Strefling from Eaton Rapids. He got into a car accident on april 17, 2009. Died on April 20 at 11:30am.

The Lansing State Journal published a follow up story today. They stated that the cause of the crash still remains unknown, but memorial service dates have been announced. If you are intrested in reading the story, see the attached link.
